I have a dozen or so games on my wishlist and almost all of them are on sale, but I don't like to spend much on myself, especially around the holidays. I did just pick up Roller Coaster Tycoon Deluxe for $1.49, though. Owned the original forever, haven't been able to find the disc for awhile... price was right. Anyone else see or purchase anything uber cheap? |

Mighty No. 9 is on sale for $6.49, but the reviews are so bad I still kinda feel like that's overpriced. I kinda want it anyway. Maybe if I get a gift card this year I'll pick it up. X-COM 2 is like $22, the first was pretty good and I might pick this one up. DOOM 2016 is on sale for $20. The game is pretty good for a reboot. Still haven't finished it myself yet. The multiplayer is a lot of fun, more run-n-gun like the original DOOM or Quake than the CoD-style deathmatch that's typical now. Black Mesa is $7, a remake of Half-Life with the newer source engine. I might pick it up. You can get Hexen II for $1.64, Dark Forces for $1.49, and Strife for $2.49, a few real bargains there. Insurgency is $1.99, a freaking bargain. Great modern tactical multiplayer FPS, way better than CoD or Battlefield without the mindless ranking up. Lots of good stuff under $5 this time. |

I just briefly scanned the main page and found the prices too high and the games not interesting enough. I'll check it out more later. |

Here's what I scoped out. This will probably be it for me this year. Axiom Verge was the big purchase. I definitely have bought less when they killed off flash sales and the votes. McPixel $0.99 Rocketbirds $1.99 FootLOL: Epic Fail League $0.99 No Time To Explain Remastered $3.74 Impossible Creatures $2.49 Axiom Verge $9.99 klocki $0.84 |

Get a refund, please. You're not 12, so you shouldn't be playing that game. |

I do have two boys who are about 12, and they have shown interest in it. So nah, I'll keep it. |

You should get them to play something masculine like Contra before you end up damning your children to furrydom and wierd ass fetishes the likes of which we have never seen. |

They don't have much interest in retro games, sadly. But they both play Call of Duty... the younger one (he's eleven) likes to play a wide range of games (pretty much anything except RPGs) while the older one (he's thirteen) is gravitating more toward sports games as of late. They both love Minecraft and anything that lets them build things, really. I remember when I first started dating their mother they would fire up whatever Halo game they had and just build levels or whatever for hours at a time... then I got them Minecraft. No more Halo building.
