A place of detailed posts about the number of screws in a cartridge. A place where people obsess over the arbitrary rareness of intentionally limited homebrew production runs but every once in a while talk about fond memories of actually PLAYING nes games.

This is precisely why OSG, the fucking self-styled NES scene hippie, being pro-NA makes zero sense. Meh. I don't hate the guy for it, it's just confusing. I remember OSG having a sense of humor, not being some uptight collector dude who I have to compete with at the flea market.

And NA itself isn't inherently evil, it's really just a majority chunk of their forum. The site itself is actually quite a nice reference if you're looking for manuals or even just to know what games exist for the system.

Not every NA poster is a hoarding, price-gouging, speculator shitbag, but every hoarding, price-gouging speculator shitbag posts on NA.

I can actually understand why ppl would defend it or be hurt when it is criticized... I dont hate it by any stretch, main complaint about it is that the Majority skews towards my little parody. Plenty of cool dudes there. And when you meet cool ppl it's hard to hear the place that represents them criticized. But ya know, it's not binary. A person can hang out there for reason X and hang out here for reason Y.
