Been playing a lot of pinball emulation via Pinball Arcade and the Pinball Hall of Fame series (same engine). Really enjoying how well represented all the tables are. Definite favorites so far are Pin*Bot, Jack*Bot, Taxi, and Tales of Arabian Nights. Most late 80s-90s Williams tables are pure quality if you ask me. Also got a bit back into Devil Daggers after a year hiatus due to a friend getting back into it and challenging my score. I see they completely updated and changed stuff around so my old high score of about 350 is null and void. GREAT. |

I still have to visit the Dutch Pinball Museum in Rotterdam. This should be an awesome place, it's close to where I live and I still haven't been there. I'm a moron  BTW, Life Force done too. |

^ I just googled it and the place seems really legit. You definitely gotta post about it if you ever make it over there.
I just played the trial version of it and really dug it. Thankfully one of the 4 pins at my local arcade is a Fish Tales so I'll try to give it a shot this weekend on the real deal. Hopefully the 'pinball mutants' who hover around said 4 machines endlessly fuck off so I may enjoy it in peace. |

The only pin that matters is Star Trek The Next Generation. |

They had a Fish Tales at our Wal-Mart when I was a kid for what seemed like YEARS... and I loved playing it for the hour or so that my parents were shopping when we went there. My memories may be clouded by nostalgia, but the only other pin that made me want to play it so much was Addams Family at our local skating rink. HOW BIG WAS IT? |

To be fair, I've read that both Star Trek: TNG and Fish Tales are very high on two separate top 100 electronic pins of all time from two pinhead forums. You guys are both spot on for some of the best tables ever made. Why didn't any of us vote/make a top 100 NES games anyway? I mean the NESt is kind of similar, but not the same thing. Oh well! I started playing Robotron again after a 3 week break. On my first game back and I scored 2.3 mil on difficulty 10. A new personal best! |

Played some Ninja Gaiden today, got to 5-1 I think it was before I shut it off from frustration. I was much better at this game as a kid, god damn. Just played a full "season" of RBI Baseball, went 9-0 with Detroit. Fun little game to come back to every once in a while. |

I just played the Ghostbusters pinball machine, apparently a new release as of last year. https://geekdad.com/2016/03/ghostbusters-pinball-machine/ It's a really beautiful machine and was a lot of fun to play. I'm no pin expert, but I'd love to own one. |

I've been dying to try this one for a while now. Seems to be extremely well rated nearly everywhere online. LEDs definitely make it look incredible.
To be fair, the prices of a new pinball machine have more or less stayed consistent for the last 30 years or so. MSRP on pins in the 80s was about $2000-$3000 which would be consistent with the $5000-6000 price tag these days. Would I pay that much for one? God no, but at least it's not as retarded as paying $8000-$10k for a used pin like the market currently dictates. I also was able to track down Ghostbusters for $5700, and $7200 on TNT Amusements so that's not as bad I guess? |

The Persona 5 slog continues. But it's a good slog. A great slog. <3 Damn near 80 hours into this beast and I think I'm coming up on the last dungeon, though I have not spoiled anything for myself somehow so I may be surprised by extra stuff after what I think is gonna be the end. I have a few of the confidants (social links from P3/P4) maxed out, been fusing some pretty badass personas (I miss them being called personae in the old titles lolololol), and have decided that Hifumi will be my one and only waifu. I friend zoned Makoto, Ann, and the doctor lady. Gimme dat Shogi playin' woman, dammit. As insane as it sounds I will probably replay it almost immediately... your social stats, money, and persona compendium carry over so you can just focus on socializing and maxing out all confidants (which reset, sadly). But that will cut down on a lot of the tedium of leveling up via activities around town, etc. I've been playing a lot of Team Fortress 2 lately, too. Been playing it on and off since 2009, used to REALLY suck at it... and somehow I now don't totally suck at it. Found a decent public server to play on and spend my time there usually, or in casual mode because lol fuck competitive and its asshole player base. PUT DISPENSER HERE |

As a fellow NES game beating psychopath, I'm telling you right now that unless you're running on an emu, Battletoads is going to take a few weeks. The game is more about memorizing a long series of stupid traps in order than anything else. It took me 3 weeks of playing in 2006 to comfortably memorize it enough to beat it. I don't even want to think about how many times I played through the first 10 levels. It's a doozy, but again, you'll see it's one big game of remembering where bs happens over actual skill. |
