I haven't decided if this was a foolish or brilliant purchase yet, but I'm about to be in the possession of a mac II, mac plus, and mac SE. Cool story behind it but that's for later. Basically I need help identifying how to search for games through eBay. For instance if I search "Mac SE" games, a lot of newer stuff comes up that obviously isn't compatible with what I have. Is there a way to narrow it down? Even when I search Mac II I'm getting games from 2014.

Would you be ok with downloading some of these games or did you want to physically own them? I think there are a few of us here who could hook it up with some sweet download spots for any game you could think of

That's fine I would need them to be on a 3.5" disk somehow though

Seems to be a lot of links there for old Mac stuff. Might be a good place to start? I do know Archive.org is a nice place to find abandonware as well.

I need to know the cool story before I talk to you any further.

TLDR an old church closed and I got the three Mac computers (one in box looks like it was never used), hard drives, floppy drives, an image writer in box (printer) sealed ribbons, tons of keyboards, mice, old software but no games. Paid 50 and, well, after all the trouble of setting them up and no real way to access games both on eBay or in person I'm going to resell all but the Plus. Honestly it was really just insane opening up a Mac from the 80s for what may have been the first time. Oh, I also have about 50lbs worth of paper (the kind with the tabs)

I'll have to show pictures. It's actually a lot of never used things that I have no idea to do with. I went down a rabbit hole trying to learn about the different models and disk drives but this is just over my head. I guess the "cool story" is really just seeing all this stuff that's over 30 years old so well preserved and in some cases still sealed.

It's an ok story. I like how the macs are computers of god since you got them from a church

I threw out the mac plus and around 70 disks of MS word documents. I can only imagine what weird shit was on those discs but fuck if I have time to look through them.

You might want to check out Mobygames and filter by Macintosh platform, then by the years 1985-1989 or so, in order to grab titles for the older Macintosh / Plus / SE platforms-- which you could then plug into ebay.

Could also do similar with the wikipedia article on the list of Macintosh games, filtering by year.
