Area 51. Best light gun game ever made in my opinion. Loved it on the PSX even with the controller back in the mid 90s when that was the most readily available version of it for me. Whenever I fix this Tempest cabinet, I'm going to spend the $75 and get myself a proper upright Area 51.

I also agree with Edsel. The only good light gun game on the NES is Duck Hunt. I don't mean that the rest are horrible, but Duck Hunt definitely is in another league compared to the others.

There's an auction local to me (Anaheim) every 2-3 months that has a random assortment of arcade games. For whatever reason Area 51, the Crusin' series, and a few other random no name larger games go for sub $100 all the time. I don't know why either, but they always have a large assortment of those titles and they all go cheap. Maybe in Area 51's case it's because the guns wear out over time (like a cell phone battery) and a 20+ year old Hard Drive isn't exactly reliable. Both easy fixes now a days since parts are readily available including a flash drive replacement for the HDD. Even after the auction fees and possible repairs you're still getting it at a bargain.

A few friends and I have been talking about each of us getting a $25 (not a typo) Crusin' USA cab and linking them all together at some point. Maybe whenever one of us has the space this will be a reality.

Battle Clash and it's sequel are tremendous. Though I've only played them on emulator using a mouse, which dulls the experience a bit.

Fairly jealous, strx10.

Anyway, NES light gun games, haven't really played anything other than Duck Hunt. Gumshoe's pretty bad though, I hate autoscrolling crap like that.

Never cared for light gun games. The bong every time you pull the Zapper trigger was a bizarre turn off. But hey, thanks to Bratwurst, I can play Operation Wolf the way it was meant to be played with the Famicom trackball.

I'd offer to send you a zapper with the springy click noise disabled, but you play everything on a flatscreen and none of the lightgun games work on those.

I was going to say Terminator 2: The Arcade Game, but then I remembered that the Arcade game really isn't a light gun game

And the ports that were light gun games were all terrible.
