Thinking about buying this just to see how good or bad my Atari and other systems that are RF out only. I expect lag to hell and back. But if it's magically working right I'll be a happy man.

That is a lot of money to pin on something that was ambiguously reviewed into one out of five stars. I'd expect more from an old Extron 480i to HDMI scaler.

(The Extron scaler I tried was crap.)

I'm not daunted by that 1 star review mainly because it's probably by some guy that didn't understand how it works

If you're going to just throw away that cash, why not just give it to me?

I will gift you a steam game on steam.

So maybe worth it?

My expectations are this.
I'm expecting a clear video signal with the audio.
Clear is used a bit loose in this definition I do not expect it to be grainy or snowy
I expect serrated lines that won't be fuzzy much like those cheap cbvs to HDMI converters at Fry's electronics.
As far as sound goes I'm expecting mono output only anyway.

I also have one of those cbvs upscalers so maybe I won't actually have to pour money into what's already a garbage fire. I might just save it for another time and test out the stuff I already have.

So far here's a few pics of the original famicom with a direct coax cable.
Famicom RF cables and signal boosthttps://imgur.com/a/LjQLD

The signal booster is totally not needed so I can ditch that completely I was trying some Atari stuff and it didn't work as intended. The cbvs converter will be used with a VCR I still have a remote for so here's hoping out of the three VCRs I can reach channel 96

This product is the absolute worst thing I ever threw my money at. I just received it today and I promptly hooked it up. Used my coax cable quad shield tuned to channel 96 and was disgusted. I knew buying it would be a garbage fire but this... This is beyond retarded.
I got a small video uploading right now so in the mean time here's some pics I took to compare

The first two images are using the device. You can clearly see ghosting
The second set of pictures is the famicom directly connected to the TV
The third set of pictures is the famicom running through my vcr hooked up to av to hdmi.

This is bullshithttps://imgur.com/a/jEqIf

I am sorry Ratix. :(

Most scaling devices are crap when it comes to 240p signals.
