Took me a few weeks but I finally beat Mega Man 8.

Not a big fan of this one. I don't like only being able to choose from 4 robot masters at a time. While the sprite art can be nice at times, they're usually kinda...blobby looking, with lots of stretch and squash in the animations. Plus you walk really slow! It's not a bad game, just doesn't feel like Mega Man to me. Fortunately I'm moving onto 9 which could be the best game in the series and one of the most smartly designed games of the last gen.

You are in for a big treat. I'd put 9 up there in the top 3 mega man games. It's really that good.

As for me I finished Wonder boy Dragon's trap last weekend. Love that game. I'm currently just waiting patiently for a few Switch games....Ikaruga, the mega man anniversary collection and Firewatch to name a few.

Oh yeah, I love Mega man 9, such a brilliantly designed game. They looked at 20 years of game design and said "OK, what actually works?" I also love how the hard and super hard modes don't just make you take more damage - they use some pretty creative new enemy placement instead. And the music fucking rocks too.

Moving onto 10 now and...it's alright. If 9 is on par with Mega Man 2 or 3, then 10 is more like 4,5 or 6. Not a bad game by any means, but it's predecessors just set a huge bar to clear.

I was getting bored with my Switch too and on a splurge I bought Super Burger Time, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and Hyrule Warriors. I missed out on the WiiU so I was looking forward to these re-releases.

Musou games are a guilty pleasure...but really though, I've never played games that were this incredibly dumb and unsatisfying while still being extremely addictive.

DKC rocks. Very gimmicky level design just like the old ones but much better done overall.

Took me a long ass time but I finally beat Mega Man 10.

It's a comparison that I'm sure has been made hundreds of times...but if Mega Man 9 is on par with 2 or 3, then 10 is like 4, 5 or 6. On it's own, it's excellent but loses something when compared to other games in the series.

I didn't really like the game when it came out, nothing felt as fresh as 9 did. Some of the level design and bosses really pissed me off and but the music wasn't half as good but for whatever reason, this time around I really dug it.

I've been playing chunks of Symphony of the Night in the evenings for about a week now. I've made it to the reverse castle and pretty much have stuck to using the holy rod because it has a nice arc to its swing that swords just don't have. Though I just did get the Alucard sword and it's real nice.

I was initially excited to play Megaman 9 and 10, but after installing them on a Wii I just never got into them. I think I beat Concrete Man's stage and that was it- I could definitely tell something was a little off with 10 though, compared to 9.

Symphony of the Night is a damn fine game and one of my favorites. As for me i've been playing a couple of Doom mods, Mars War for Doom II and Doom The Way Id Did for Doom 1/Ultimate Doom.

Darkwing Duck is great. Sort of a budget Mega Man with an awesome jazzy soundtrack.

Playing Yakuza 0 right now on my PS4. This is the first game in that series I've played. It reminds me of Shenmue and I actually really liked Shenmue. It's also probably the most story heavy game I've ever played. EVERYTHING triggers an exceptionally long cutscene. But the story is pretty good and it's well localized so I'm enjoying it.

Also playing Hyrule Warriors on my Switch. I have a soft spot for Musou games. They're shallow, but incredibly addicting. I don't know if I've ever played a video game that makes me feel like I've accomplished less than this one.

I have the whole Yakuza series and hopefully at some point I'll play it. I also enjoyed Shenmue so what you said is promising.

I finished Metroid Prime up 2 weeks ago and it was delicious. First person platforming is satan but Nintendo/Retro Studios did it as best they could.

I bought some eShop dollarydoos and got Megaman Legacy Collection 2 for the Switch (because lol, the retail version just has 1 on the cart and a DLC code for 2, and some of those DLC code sheets are missing the code) so I can play Megaman 9&10 finally. Since I have MM 1-6 on cart... and on the Gamecube... and probably a third media, just getting MML2 was enough and saved me $20. Started Megaman 9 and it's challenging. Not bad though - definitely some fuck you moments. 3 bosses down and 0/2 on pairing up a weapon with a boss that's weak to it.

Since I had to pay tax, I also got Picross S for the Switch as well, since both games were 30 cents under the $30 I got in codes. It's just like every other Picross game except for two things. One, no penalties whatsoever. Mark a wrong square, you don't get penalty time or any sort of negative, except you don't know it's wrong and you can potentially screw yourself if you proceed too far with wrong information. The other is Mega Picross which is just kind of confusing. I had trouble wrapping my brain around it and finishing the 5th puzzle for it. I won't even try and explain it here.

Picross S will likely be a fill in thing and I will play it periodically, but once I'm done with MM9 and MM10, I think I'm going to crack open Xenoblade 2. I still haven't played Xenoblade X on the WiiU, but since I don't need to play it for 2, I will put it off.

I finished Lisa the Painful RPG. Can’t recommend it enough, one of the best story’s ever in a game.
